"Wintergreen"
If you don't live in the lakes area or visit in the winter and spring, you
probably don't have an appreciation for the lake color changes which often take
place associated with the entry of new run off waters. This process
seems to stir up sediment which often cause the lakes to appear more green than
blue.
Wintergreen contrasts the stark purples and blues of a
distant lake snow squall
with the bright greens and blues of the shore on the east side of
Keuka Lake. Add the leftover browned out foliage from the fall and some
early winter snow on the ground and stir until you feel the chill of December.
