"Oaken"
I have always liked the dry reddish brown color of oaks in the late
autumn. This is the same corn crib painted in New Path, but from a different
angle. However, the subject of this painting is the architecture and crisp feel
of the grand old oak tree. The bright blue horizon is the opposite bank of
Cayuga Lake which lies below, just out of site.
