" Keuka Morning Mist"

The shy distant sun finally begins to erase the morning fog from the gently sloping hills, and more distant lake and bluff.   The grasses are still wet and the vines are just starting to grow for the season as June arrives on Keuka lake.  So with damp feet and expired camera battery I climb back into the car and suddenly it strikes me how many things are just starting up here.   Another day, another season, another harvest, another picture to paint.   This scene from just below the cemetery in Pulteney looking southeast is a classic view of the unmistakable Keuka lake.
