" Keuka Autumn Morning"

You've probably already noticed that this painting has the exact same vantage point of Keuka Lake as my Bully Hill Nightfall painting.  It was my intent to contrast the 7am look and feel of the lake with that of the 7pm.  It is very challenging to get that misted and faded look of the distant hills and shoreline as a new day begins on the lake.   I do like how the turquoise of the closer water fades to the purple haze over the more distant hillsides and then into the sky.   These colors are nicely complemented with the orange and yellow hues of high autumn.
