"Genesee North"
OK... Rochester tourism folks often claim the finger lakes area as part
of its site seeing realm. I suppose that it should be acceptable for me to claim
Rochester as part of the greater finger lakes area. Anyway, on a recent trip to
Rochester, I was impressed with the renovation that has been done to the high
(Genesee) falls area. This was a pretty run down section of the city when I was
growing up (in a 'burb of Rochester) many years ago. This painting is a summer
evening view from the footbridge (named Pont de Rennes) that crosses the Genesee
just above the falls.
