"Back in Town"
 

Every year the college and alumni crowd return to the city of Ithaca.   As one enters the city from the south,  Ithaca College greets you on the right at the top of South Hill.   Not too far down route 96, the assorted architectures of Cornell University begin cover the hillside and fill the horizon.   Add the spring (almost graduation time) colors and lengthening shadows and you have  essential vantage of this painting.
