"An Autumn Walk"

The low afternoon sun provides streaks of  light but limited warmth into the wooded area of the Taughannock gorge.  With the trees at peak autumn coloration, the parking lot for the hiking area is usually full, and today is no exception.  It seems that the path should be noisy and overcrowded, but the mood is always quiet and tranquil only broken by the occasional passing of hikers in the opposite direction or those moving forward in the distance ahead.    The walkers are rewarded with the beauty of their journey and fantastic waterfall at the end of the trail.
